About Me

My name is Rachael Heiner, and I was born in November, 1980. I met my husband, Justin, when we were both 19, and we were married three years later. As of 2009, we've been married for 6 years, and celebrated 10 years as a couple in December 2009.

In 2006 we were blessed with the birth of Sam, our son. He is the blondest blondie in blondetown and we love him to pieces. We're expecting a little brother for Sam just a week after his fourth birthday - May 9, 2010. His name is Daniel (Danny) and I can't wait to meet him!

I went to school at the University of Washington and earned my degree in Business Administration in 2001. I went to work doing HR, but left when I had Sam. From the time he was 18 months, I worked part time for a year doing HR Administration until I was laid off in September 08. I looked for a job for a while, but as of now my only job is taking care of Sam and trying to manage household chores despite my "morning" sickness.

We live in Bellingham, WA, which is about an hour and a half north of Seattle. It's a college town, not too big, not too small. I love the creative atmosphere and find that I have been writing a lot more since we moved back, as well as reading more books.
